How is the Altseason Index calculated?
We take the top 50 coins by market cap (excluding Bitcoin and stablecoins) and count what share beat Bitcoin's 30-day price change. 75+ signals altcoin season, 25 or below signals Bitcoin season, and anything between is mixed.
Does altcoin season mean altcoins are less risky?
No — it just means altcoins are currently outperforming Bitcoin as a group. Individually they remain more volatile and less liquid than Bitcoin, so the index is a market-mood signal, not a risk rating.
